The FBI's  The Most Famous cases

With an introduction and comments by J. Edgar Hoover

By Andrew Tully Author of CIA: The Inside Story.

This book has a bunch of cases that J. Edgar Hoover considers amonth the most important, excting , and unique in the fifty seven year history of the FBI.

Some of the stories I like most were:

The Famous "Machine Gun" Kelly cases are here with good detail.

The fascinating  and complete kidnapping of Frank Sinatra Jr.  He was returned safe and sound.  He was very smart when he was kidnapped and listened and made mental notes during his kidnapping that lead to finding the kidnappers when he was returned. I believe most of the ransom money was returned.

I love the exciting short stories. Each one takes about 20 minutes to read with a neat ending.

The book was published my Willam Morrow & Company  New York 1965.  I not sure weather it is in print anymore. I bought it at Book city Books in Hollywood.  It is a used book store.

An intresting note about the author on the back flap says was a war correspondent and authro of nine books, waqs the first American to reach Berlin during the World War 2.

Personaly I kept Thinking of a JFK movie about his life when i was reading J Edgar Hoover coments.  John Kennedy referred to him as a homosexual. That I do not know if it is true or not.
